The Principality of Sealand is offering asylum to Gary McKinnon, a well-known British hacker who’s facing extradition to the USA.

This extraordinary news was announced at the Infosec Europe Conference in London, where McKinnon was one of the members of a ‘Hackers Panel’.Gary McKinnon, also known as Solo, (born in Glasgow in 1966) is allegedly responsible for hacking 97 US Army, Navy, Air Force, DoD and NASA computers in 2001-02, which has been dubbed “the biggest military computer hack of all time.” McKinnon claims that his reason for hacking was his belief in UFOs.
