Everyone’s favourite neo-shoegazer band Airiel is heading out to tour the US and UK to promote the new album “The Battle of Sealand”.

During their three American dates, they will be supported by indie-rockers Film School, while in the UK,  they’ll  perform with electronica extraordinaire Ulrich Schnauss.

The winner of the first Sealand Competition is Lady Alexandra of Sealand, formerly known as Alex Rogers. Alex is a 19 year old Music Student, studying in London. She’s a singer and also plays the violin. She sings in numerous choirs and is also a member of Network Scouts. She enjoys sailing and skiing in her spare time and would like to visit the Principality of Sealand.

There’s a small country for sale just a few miles off the coast of England. The Principality of Sealand is a micro nation founded by a pirate on a tiny steel platform in the middle of the North Sea.

Sealand was established by a radio pirate, had its crown prince kidnapped by German mercenaries, and it was even the stage for a miniature war. Certainly not your typical island!
